Opinions on Black ZR1's
I've been thinking about getting wheels/tires for my red '99 Formula but can't decide what style to go with and what finish. A friend of mine said I could try out his black 17x9 ZR1's for a week or two. I took some pictures but I want all of the opinions i can get. Not sure if black or silver would look better against the red, especially considering that my car has white lettering on it. Let me know how you guys feel about the black wheels on my car.

I really don't like ZR1's on Firebirds, and I wouldn't do black, I would go gunmetal =P
I love mine!
I might get them powder coated for the new car though, white on white is sexy!

As far as the wheel gap, lowering my car really isn't on my mind right now. If I do it it'll be something I do years from now. I like the stock height and right now its better to keep it that way for 3 reasons, 1 - If I do end up getting a staggered set with 17x11's in the back I'll be getting 315's and that could cause extra issues as far as extra parts I'll need to buy in order to make it work 2 - same as number 1 but about extra parts for the suspension (ie LCA relocation brackets) and 3 - I live in an area where most of the driveways are all elevated off the roadway and there are lots of speed bumps and I already scrape the bottom of the car.
As far as getting 17x11's in the back that was my original intention but I think I might just stick with 17x9 so I can run 275 all the way around making rotations easy (and possible). If a 275 will fit on a 17x11 I'd get them and then a set of worn 315's for looks I guess though.
The main reason I'm looking at ZR1's is because they are cheaper, I really want Torque Thrusts but they're too expensive.

Ya it's funny how the first thing everyone on this site notices and mentions is the lowering of the car lol. I do admit it looks better lowered but it's not the end of the world if we don't do it, I been stock height w/ all my fbodies (2) and never cared for lowering, we still **** on the land w/ our cars and they're already low as **** to begin with lol, everyone hates getting inside my car cause how low it is (stock height), imagine lowering it more, still wouldn't mind it but thats seriously the very last mod in my book which would prolly reach at never lol.
