Default C5 Vette FRC H/C/I "First Start"

Hey guys - just finished my small build. I started her up and got a video today. My build thread is here in case you guys want to see her getting torn apart:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ld-thread.html

Watch it in 720p HD - sound quality is a bit better

We have very similar builds!! Except i have the 233/239 598 603 113LSA TSP cam. Made 463/418 with a FAST 92/90 setup. Im currently switching to Borla Twin Tip Stingers while the diff/trans are out and getting upgraded to 30 spline mains and 3.91 gears.

Great build up. The C5 is kinda of a PITA to do cam swaps on. Did you go with a two piece timing cover on yours??

That's pretty cool man! That's basically what I plan to do next - diff/trans + 30 spline and 3.91's. I'm contemplating swapping in a ported FAST 92/90 before I go down to my tuner but I'm thinking I'm going to hold off on it for a bit and see what I can get out of my ported LS6.

And yes, it was a little hassle to swap the cam. The two piece timing cover would be awesome but I didn't pick one up since I don't plan on doing this that often lol.

Those are nice numbers from your setup. I'd be very happy if I can get somewhere in the ballpark of those. But I'll definitely let you guys know once I get back from the dyno and I'll have a video to go along with it too.

Lol well... a fender gripper is a fender gripper and the Mustang cover didn't come with the Vette tax! Seriously though is was 15 bucks cheaper lol. Funny you noticed that - I had a few people say the same thing on CorvetteForum lol

Thanks! And Yep that was definitely very rewarding. I always do the work myself for that reason and also so I know the job gets done right .

I actually have already driven her about 150 miles or so city/highway to get through the initial break in period. I just changed the oil yesterday and I'm planing on driving around a little today too. I haven't really ran very hard because even though I have the mail order tune from Frost -I'm waiting to go down there to get a dyno tune just to make sure everything is good to go. I definitely feel a little more power on tap though . I'll get a video of it cruising sometime too to share with you guys

I ended up getting 446/406 when I had the Ported LS6 and Tb. I havent been back to they dyno after i had the Fast 92 ported to see how they look with an even comparison.

That's not bad at all on the ported LS6, I'm sure there is definitely an improvement but depending on the margin will justify the purchase for me. I've also been seriously contemplating throwing a little 100 shot on there as well for those days I'm feeling spirited . But I'll have to see - once I get all this broken in and dyno'd, I'll have a better idea on where I want to go with her.
