Update on 'Trust's stuff : No LSX Content
So a fellow LS1tech buddy (tbird31) sent me a message just asking for an update, which I really appreciate getting, so here goes:
I haven't had an LSX car since my CTS-V 2, I'm on the hunt for what was my dream Fbody, a white low mileage WS.6 Formula, but I'm taking my time. End goal for that car is lots of stroke/ci single turbo TH400 + Holley EFI, etc, just a stupid fast track car that I can occasionally drive on the street.
I've been around this place since 04 when I graduated HS and progressed from a PO blue 98 T/A that turned into something I was relatively proud of in this car:
I had a white H/C/I 01 T/A after I sold the blue one then ended up with this '00 WS.6, for those that don't know, it was a 396ci, D1-SC 4L60E, 3966lb car, nothing was ever pulled out of it, and it made 808rwhp through the auto, it did pretty well back then with 1.3 60' off the footbrake and 9 sec slips. I sold it in November of '09:
I've had quite a few cars in between from a CTS-V 1, 335i, twin turbo GTS Viper, stock SRT Viper, 997tt etc., I have a problem keeping cars. For the record this was my last LSX car which I sold before I bought the 997:
I LOVED that car.
Fast foward to today and this is where I sit, I'll start with the daily, which I just bought:
2010 Audi S5 - This isn't mine but it looks identical, wheels are already coming and and an RS5 black grille.
It's a great daily, super nice, and it's staying stock otherwise.
First up is the gofast car, as a disclaimer, it's really not my style. I bought it when I was having the GTS built, out of frustration that it was taking so long. Long story short, I popped the motor around 750whp and then it just went down hill.
2010 Nissan GTR:
Reinforced 4.0L
GReddy Kit w/HTA82's
GReddy 94mm Ti Catback
GReddy HG Intercooler
T1 Custom Intake
ID1000 Primaries / ID2000 Secondaries
Tomei Cams
Shep Trans w/PPG 1-6th
ProMax Clutches
BL Oil Cooler
DSS Axles
Syvecs S8 ECU
Forgeline 19x10's w/295/35/19 BFG KDW's and 18x12 rear with MT 345/35/18 DR's bought from Nine Ball. Buy your stuff from him.
The car makes 1180whp on a Mustang dyno, racing dyno's puts it right at 1400whp on a Dynojet if that's important. It'll be just enough to keep Tiago's chute in my view.
Last but not least, the stress free weekend driver:
'06 Ferrari F430 - F1 Trans. This thing is literally stock with !CATS. I love love love this car:
Wheels for those wondering are COR Forged Encore's in brushed titanium:
Because Racecar:
So that's an update on me, thanks to tbird for caring, lol. I'll continue to spy on you guys weekly.
Thanks!

every time i see you post there's a different set of cars in your sig hahaha. I remember seeing that NBM TA all over the place back in the day, i've been around since '05 and had a NBM TA myself.
So let me get this straight, your viper build was taking too long so you got mad and bought a GTR to occupy yourself? Boss move. Or did you ditch the whole viper plans in favor of the GTR?

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated!
Yea, I was pushing the stock motor pretty hard, long story short, did a long 5th gear pull, heard a bang and it did this, lol:
Yea, the Viper was taking a long time, so I bought the GTR about a month before it was done.
Honestly at that power level the trans will be fine. I ran stock clutches to 740whp and it wasn't slipping. It's still a clutch so the worst that will happen is it will slip. A base build on the trans is relatively reasonable given the platform, I wouldn't want to launch one on over 550whp on the factory 1st gear and retaining clips.

"Trust" stems from my beliefs, and ties into the fact that I feel like I'm trustworthy and stand up, ya know?

Ridiculous cars as always, you and nine ball are tied for the best garage on tech.
I'm sure others have asked this in the past but I'm curious, given your collection now only eight years out of high school, where do you go from here? I think a lot of people on here agree that cars like tt gallardos are about as good as it gets in the street car world. Since it seems like you're not far from that, how do you plan on keeping yourself excited about cars for the rest of your life, or do you not?

If the GTR wasn't so extreme I'd probably have a TTG now, but its tough spending that coin and being "another Underground car" IMO. It'll happen eventually. As far as from now on I just want to add to it, next is probably an FGT, maybe trade up to a 430 Scud from mine, and then finally a 09+ TTG. After that, not sure lol.
