New World Record: Highest Horsepower C7 Corvette Makes 1121WHP With A Stroker, Boost and Nitrous
Just when we thought the C7 Corvette horsepower wars were put to rest yesterday with Vengeance Racing's 1000whp C7 Stingray Corvette, Late Model Racecraft goes and nudges the bar further with an impressive showing of 1121whp and 992 lb-ft at the rear wheels on N20 and 990whp and 942 lb-ft on boost alone. Now granted, the LMR car has a stroker and Vengeance Racing's example didn't, but that doesn't matter here because it's an apples to oranges comparison anyways. What really matters is the 1121whp–that's serious beans!
The beast in questions is sporting an LMR 416ci short block, a custom grind camshaft, LMR CNC ported cylinder heads, Vortech YSI blower at 15psi and a Nitrous Express 150 shot on top!
It's nice to see the best GM Performance shops in the country pushing the limits of the new Stingray and dueling for C7 supremacy.
It's good to be a GM fan!
Look for the main-page post soon.
