The ls just plain out stomped the coyote dick in the dirt.

As it should have.. there really should be no argument here. Furd guys shouldn’t be shocked and GM guys shouldn’t be praising it. Fail on both camps lmfao.

That's expected with both on the same budget. LS simply gets more power per dollar here.

Yea it would have been close, but the engine that turned more RPMs would have won imo. I like all engine platforms I truly do, but I believe the coyote would have won. The size of your valves are determined by your bore so that would have limited the ls and coyote (which it already does) then it would have came down to who can truly set it up better and make more power over the rpm band. I just feel like this would be a better match when done this way. But as we all know, you said it and I said it and so has others the ls is just cheaper to build so it was stronger from the start which allowed it to hold more power from the bigger blower and since it is cheaper it was easier to go more city as well. This test proved just that imo it didn't prove anything else. It just proved the ls is cheaper to build.

It proved that on a rather decent budget of more than most of us spend that the ls just flat ******* wears out the coyote. No if, ands or buts about it.

There is nothing magical about any engine when it comes to boost. The coyote was not gonna over power the ls as long as they are run at the same psi/efficiency. Certainly coyitah fans thought it would.....some of you ******* think there's something magical about it. Like others you simply overlook the basics of how it ******* werks.

You are correct, there is absolutely nothing magical about a 427ci motor out performing a 302ci motor on the dyno..

Can’t believe I even had to say that.

But highlander said coyote is the best. And with boost it would make ls engines its bitch.

Yeah a full zoot BIGGER CUBED SBC would probably make a higher dyno number than a 302 coyote. This is all **** we already know. Why are we praising the bigger cubed motor for making bigger cubed motor power? I don’t get it.

Hmm, I always thought that was one of the stips for the Mod/Coyotard guys was if budget wasnt an issue.... what did the budget stop the Ford team from doing here? Thay even had more compression ffs, i mean how "fair" you going to get between 2 completely different platforms optimizing both not hindering one or the other?

That test was really about as fair as it gets at a comparison like that. Only way to be more fair is to do a na test with the displacements of the competing engines......oh wait

The coyotah lost that one to

Because it was not only simpler to build but just ******* flat thrashed that coyote. Held way more power to. The ls wouldn't have failed at power above where the coyotah failed at.

Is anyone ls/sbc swapping coyote cars yet?

Literally everyone here is in agreement that a 427ci motor “flat thrashed” a 302ci motor. That’s not a win by any means lol. It’s ****** physics.

Would be neat to see LS4 to coyote battle.

I would think so, you know your sticking a Glide/TH400 in if you making any real power so might as well have the correct engine in front of it...

Oh so now we talking track times when the narrative fits? I thought this was a dyno thread...

I couldn’t give less of a ****. Both engines perform well. Still would be neat to see a NA to NA battle of LS4 vs coyote. Similar displacement, breathing their own “atmosphere.”

Every coyote guy thinks that engine is superior to lsx engines. Now you want us to use a grand prix engine? That's not what I would put 15 grand into. That said, I think it could still win on the dyno.

Lol, “a Grand Prix motor?!?!?!?!”

Swap the heads for full zoot aftermarket worked cyclinder heads, change the cam, supporting valvetrain mods, get a well performing intake manifold on there with a good set of headers. Would probably be pretty close.

But in the event that the LS4 loses, it’s “oh my god it’s a Grand Prix motor what did you expect?!” Lmao.

I don't ******* care really. In a all out build I'm not gonna build a 5.3 for na. Cry me a ******* river about cubes and I'll float down that river with a beer in hand laughing about your lack of cubes.

Looks like zoolander wanted another account.

If we’re not worried about cubes then there should never be any hype over a bigger cubed LSx motor out performing a 302ci coyote ever again on this site. It’s ****** physics. Bigger motor will always out perform on a dyno as long as the engine isn’t hurt

Dumbass rhetorical thread for GM guys to stroke each other’s shafts to is all this is lol.
