Sour grapes huh?
You don't hear us bitching about a 427" motor. But it would be nice to have
a big motor like that.

We don't always have a specific place, we usually just start talking around and find somewhere for all of us to meet. Last night we got together at my house in Loganville. Get on www.sportscarforum.net and check in every once in a while...we'll post when and where our "get togethers" are on there a lot of times.

Props to Steeda for being a great sport and accepting defeat.
However, I think he's downplaying the belt slippage to avoid flamage and because he knows he'll get another chance and as we all know, talk is cheap anyway.
From what I saw, the vette only started pulling when the belt started slipping. I couldn't really hear the s/c when they were side by side but I doubt the z06's power curve is so dramatic as to cause it to take off like that compared to how even they were at the lower rpms. Sooo if the vette isn't taking off, the mustang must be "slowing down."
I think it will be A LOT closer next time and I'm looking forward to the vid!
Sweet cars!
BTW, I'm an LS1 guy so it's not a brand thing. It's just my opinion.

I'm gonna have to jump to Steeda's defense here again ;-)
I want people to understand the idea of these videos isn't to see who will win........but to show a "real world" comparison of the Z06 to other vehicles. How well does this thing perform on the street in stock form? That's why we go from a roll, so it's a race against cars, and not the drivers. And that's why Steeda put the comments in that he did. It wasn't to have an excuse as to why he'd lose, but if we are saying this is a true comparison between a stock Z06 and a 516rwhp Cobra.....we need to make sure people are aware that at the end of the race, the Cobra was not at full power. The only reason we posted the video, was because I was doing horribly slow shifts into 3rd on purpose, which was during the part of the race he was at full boost. I convinced him that the half car I gave up in the "heat" of the race, is probably comparable to the distance he gave up at the end of the race due to his slipping belt. (yeah, we were all REALLY impatient about this video).
