Man thats too bad. I spent many Fri/Sat up in the stands watching. Never did make a pass in my '92 as much as my friends tried to talk me into it. I lived in Oahu from 1990 to 2004.

I heard rumors HRP was closing due to insurance and the state wanting the land back. I hoped neither was true...guess I was wrong.

Hopefully people wont take it too the street, but we all know how that goes.

Grew up at that track. Was too young to ever make a pass, but spent many nights out there with the family racing a Black '76 Firebird with a 455 H.O. We sold it to soem friends (Angie and Louis) before we moved. Last pics of it I saw were when it was silver and blue. Much prefered the straight black or the later Black and Flames. Really too bad the tracks closed.

Man are you serious? HRP is really closed? Does anyone know why? I loved that track, one of the few tracks I'd been to that would let you roam about without security bothering you, really laid back. That suxs.
