Um. . .most defintely kinda fishy. I would have liked to see some footage out the window to prove that it wasn't just on a dyno.

Come to think of it, that mustang would have to be modified to go that fast right? I mean I know it takes more power than stock/gearing to drive a F-body to 188. I looked up the Mustang and the F-bodys' drag coefficients, and they were listed both as .33. So, either that GT is pretty well modified, or it's on the dyno.

Where is this moron getting his 188 mph from? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> The outer ring on the speedo is in MPH not KPH and it flies past the 240 MPH like nothing! It is quite obvious this video is a BIG, HEAPING LOAD of <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> , kind funny though that any of you even considered it! <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

The fastest streetable Mustang any magazine has ever tested was a red 1993 Cobra back in 1995 in MM&FF. It went a little over 205mph with about 600rwhp! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> If even for a split second that video seemed believable then you should check into a mental hospital for an evaluation! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

this is a gulf spec car, so the outer ring is in kph and the inner is in mph.
looks like a rearend change without recalibrating the speedo.
oh, and friday is the weekend there.

i just finished watching the video and any of you guys notice that the time jumps from 8:17:28 to 8:17:46!!! <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> what happened in between those secs? if i was going that fast i would not have stopped the camera at all.

Nowhere in there do you see any hands anywhere in the proximity of the steering wheel, and I really don't think you would be going 188mph and be driving pimp style <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" /> . Also, when the camera is on the close up shot you can see it's shaky, probably as shaky as it should be for 188mph, but when he zooms out ---- it's actually steady for a few seconds. You know this is bc when zoomed in even the littlest movement results in a major shaking of the picture.
The outer ring looks like it says kph, but that thing does not sound like it the motor is working that hard.
Something smells there. I would think there'd be some shots of trees flying by or something, or maybe daylight?????
