I don't see anything wrong with it. It was in a controlled environment, and it looks hella fun!

I especially liked the red Civic with the carbon fiber hood and bronze wheels and the black Civic (same body style). They were controlling their cars so it looked as if they were RWD drifting. Hella cool! They're probably JDM ninjas or something. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I think we need to have an LS1 Tech Atlanta Region meet and invite some of those guys. They know how to have a good time!

C'mon guys. We're not retarded. I am the guy in the red Civic with the carbon fiber hood and bronze wheels. Tray sliding is actually really fun, and it gives us a chance to be RWD every once in awhile <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> . Done correctly (meaning a controlled drift), it takes a great amount of concentration and driving skill. Don't knock it until you try it!

I hope that your hatred for tray sliding didn't come from your hatred of the stereotypical "ricer." The guys that I hang out with (the guys that hosted the tray sliding meet) are not that type of people. We are driving enthuisiasts, just like you guys, and we hate ricers (big wings, stickers, body kits, neons, etc.).

The cars I've seen so far on this site are really cool. I've seen B18B1LS1's LS1 in person, and it is kickass!

I hate to step in and be the old person, but this thread needed a little maturity, instead of hateful name-calling.

some of you all need to come up to chattanooga, we only have ricers here, it would be nice to see some nice cars, the fastest import here is either a 500hp supra or this 240sx with a rb20, but other than that all the cars suck

How did you get set that up so you could do burn outs and slide around? It looked like the parking lot was wet or something. Didn't the po-po bother you?

We actually "rent" that part of the parking lot (which is actually a skidpad) and pay for the metered fire hydrant. We wet the parking lot down, cone it off, and start sliding! We have the permission of the owner, so the cops can't touch us- as a matter of fact, most of the cops in the area stop and watch thinking it's cool. We even had one cop think about taking his cruiser out on the pad! Thank God he didn't, though, when I think about it.

And Boo Yeah, we don't do much on the weekends, mainly because all of the police agencies around Atlanta have effectively shut down any and all activity that resembles a large group of cars hanging out (we have the Fast & Furious ricers to thank for that <img border="0" alt="[shoot]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> ). But, I will post here details about the next Import Lounge meet once the details are smoothed out. It will probably be at the beginning of April, and yes there will be tray sliding!

get a group and come up here, the police run us off sometimes but there are not enough for them to really do anythng here, there are alot of plaes no one goes cause they are to far away but i know quite a few places that if there was a group we could go and no one would bug us, as well there are alot of people here that don't come out cause there are no cool cars, also there is a 1/8th mile track real close we could go to and race on friday all night then leave and all go to one place to hang
