Default what color berger panel? (photoshop request)

I know there are hundreds of threads about this, but im just trying to get some opinions. i just picked up a spare taillight panel, and was planning on painting it either flat black, or semi-gloss, but then i got thinking. im getting some gunmetal rims, and probably going with some other gunmetal accents on my car, so would it look too weird doing the rear panel a gunmetal color?

here is a picture of the rear
(exhaust has changed, thats when i first bought it. im running without any tips now, but picking up some stock black z28 tips in the next few days)

im also trying to decide if i want to do the CAMARO letters in SOM, or get the stainless steel ones.

anyone want to play around with photoshop?

A flat black berger with som-like inserts would look pretty sweet

Don't do anything but semi-gloss like Berger used.

I would say go with gloss black, if I can't wax it, I don't want it.

No need to wax it....any stains come right off with alcohol.

IMO that just doesn't look right....maybe it's because I wanted mine to be like the real Burgers cars (and all the older SS' for that matter). Hence why I used semi-gloss (satin). To each there own I guess....

well i had it satin black but it looked terrible. to me, a satin black rear panel doesnt match a car that has a gloss black top and gloss black wheels...so i glosses it, got the LT1 tails, and vht/cleared them. like ya said, to each their own.

thanks for the replies. i really dont like the gloss... it just looks unfinished, like you didnt want to get it painted body color. it works on some colors, but not on mine...

i went with an "ultra flat black" now i just have to figure out what i want to do with the inserts.

woah, how did this end up in this section????? lol, i put it in appearance?
