Default My 3.8L turbo, drifting, and sparing with 12sec IROC

Video is from 2005 finally put it together, engine was breaking up at 4800-5000 due to maxing the maf, so races were 2nd gear only. The other car is a 12sec iroc.

Few pics, and details on the car.

Why not drift with two hands? It is your car...just a little safety thought.

Lol, sorry I pay for my own tires,, gears, diff, tranny........ that little bit on the asphalt, and the dough nuts were a one time deal.

Never understood drifting on pavement, just seemed destructive, I got into driving on gravel roads because I like rallying.

Gravel tears your car up more than pavement. Also if you want to rally go buy an old suby and knock your self out.

Really, I've been doing this for years, and have yet to break one single part, or have to replace a set of tires after 20 min of fun. Or even get a rock chip on a rear fender for that matter.

Dude why do you care if I drive on dirt roads in a camaro? its fun to me? I've done it in AWD cars, its faster, but less fun, which is the point. Does it look like I'm trying to go as fast as possible?

Thats why I called it drifting, driving sideways for the sake of driving sideways. I'm sorry it doesn't meet your definition.

I never dynoed it. Never ran it at the track. I could max the stock MAF sensor at 3800RPM.

With 3.42 gears, stock LSD, 245 goodyears, and full boost (20+psi) it would still break the tires loose at 50-60mph.

Races in the video were at 8psi.

Tune the MAF so you dont max it. You can set it on our cars so you never max it...its more of a fooling it type of game.

How are you tuning the maf? Once your out of frequency your out of frequency........ Or so I thought back in 2005. Unless your talking about setting it up so it doesn't see that the maf is maxed, and then adding fuel based on RPM? I tried that, but it was a crap shoot at best, especially since I changed boost settings daily.

After this video I switched to the largest diameter MAF I could get at the time. It was a 6.0 off and escalade I believe. Then I maxed the 43lb injectors.
