LT1 355 cc306 idle vid. stock heads. What would it run with this!!!!
video is in sig. I outran a cam only 02 ss by about a car or 2. LS1 would start to pull back after the quarter. he dyno'd 389 but obviously had more hp because he began to pull back. so im guessing im around 375-380hp.
what do you think I could run with 100 shot, 12-bolt with 4:33 gears, a street twin. running m/t dr's on prostars. hp would be around 480hp on a healthy 100 shot. my suspention is pretty dialed in also.
car is now running a walbro 255 pump with 42# injectors car was dyno tuned with this same car minus the pump. Ive never seen the #'s I think it et was kept a secret as it was a pretty big street car in the houston area. I was told it put down 550hp on a 175 shot.

sounds good....lol I did make a few runs back when not running right. ran a 13.5 at 110 on I ship you not 6.5 cylinders, slipping clutch, a weak fuel pump, pump died a month later. #5 plug as fouled out and ground strap was off #1 plug, the 2 I never checked. a little too much spray on #1. and torn valve seal, leaking oil on #5. I thought it was fast running like that lol. its a beast now, well in a few days when the new opti goes in. I dont think it liked the 6700rpms at all. will be shifing around 6000-6200 on spray... lug it a little and try to save optis.
its picked way up from when I first bought this car. I was thinking it would run around 12.0 now cause it feels like its gained over a hundred shot since then. It really needs a clutch and 12 bolt I cant wait.this rear might hold it cause its had a little work done to it. but I know it wont hold too long. I might just trailer it to the track, and just see what it can do on some go juice.

heads are worked a little, valve job and lt4 valves. I do know it will outrun a 389hp cam only ls1, the ls1 with a little smaller cam than mine. Our cars idle identical, cant tell them apart at idle.
anyways is it usual for an lt1 to outrun an ls1 with ls1 having more hp.
I drove his car and it even pulls harder than mine. but his doesnt pull hard till like 4k where mine is full pull by 3k.
we went from a 35mph 2nd gear hit and I pulled also.
for him to pull back on the top end I would guess hes got about 15hp over me. that gets me to 374hp.

i had a 97 lt1 with the cc306.. ran 12.5xx before i ported my heads.. after the ported heads went 12.30's@115 and 10.70@123 on a 150 shot.. after that i swapped the cam to the xfi 468 cam.. went 12.10@115 didnt get to spray it with the new cam.. never dynoed it either.. but i did beat quite a bit of heads and cam ls1's... both from dead stop and rolling.. and the longer the race the further i'd pull away(with the xfi cam that is..top end pull with that cam was crazy).. with the 306 cam and on the bottle, i smoked a procharged stang running constant 10.50's on the expressway after the racetrack..

6-speed? if so what clutch were you runnin, im thinking about a street twin.
with 4.10s will I still be in 4th on a 100 shot.

thats where the power is on the dyno...6spd with a 10 bolt rear will net some guys 370ish hp at the wheels...but the 12bolt brings us all back to earth. my 242/242 custom cam with ported heads on my 383 made 362rwhp through a 4l60 and 12-bolt....ran 12.05 @ 112
