Exclamation Daniel Short AKA 98slowt/a: OFFICIAL BAD TRADER

I PayPal-ed 340US (Paypal ID #13Y02756K5486905F) to 98slowt/a for a used cam with used springs on September 13, 06 after getting a PM from him about a cam he had for sale.

200US was for the cam, 100US for srpings and 40US for partial shipping because we didn't know what shipping would come to just yet.

I left my email and my home phone number for him incase there was a problem.
I get a call from him a day or so later saying that he didn't receive the funds. I emailed PayPal to see what had happened and made sure I wasn't getting two transactions coming out at once. (I dind't complete the last step in the payment process... no biggie)
I got that straightened out after the weekend and provided a copy and paste of the confirmation notice. Money was transfered to his account.

On September 22, 06 I sent another 75.00US (Paypal ID #15G98341GW938373X) because shipping was more that we though from Texas to Canada.

I ask him about cam installs and a few other things over the following weeks.

***note that I don't have all the pm's from him because my mail box was getting way too full so I had to delete a few at the time and make room. The ones I missed are still in the quotes****

Here's how it went:

Nothing yet.

I checked the mail yesterday and no notices. I'll check with the post office tomorow and see if its sitting on the shelf for whatever reason, although they're really **** about sending notices because they hate hanging on to items. If it is there, it'll be there for three weeks before they ship it back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dan

I need to know if you have a tracking number for the parcel.

I have still not received it and none of the shipping companies have a record of a parcel that wasn't picked up.

I'f like to beleive that you indeed shipped that good, but with no proof of shipping, I'm left feeling like I've been taken.

The previous PM that I sent have a read notice attached and it confirmed that you did read my message, but since you have reffused to reply to any of my pm's since 11-10-2006, 12:55 AM where you said:
"wtf you havent received those damn things
i sent those atleast three weeks ago??
let me see if i can find the tracking number
thanks alot dan"
... you're really leaving me with little choice here.

I left you negative trader feedback in the ls1tech forums in hopes that you'd reply to me to get this cleared up, but that hasn't been the case.

Do I have to forward all our pm's back and forth to PayPal to get my mony back over this??

Let me know how you wanna play this out.
If I don't hear anything from you by New Years, I have 6 pages of corespondance between us sitting in a Word document to be sent to PayPal.

If you have a tracking number, please give it to me so I can track this thing down.

Did it get returned to you?

I'm not trying to be a dick here, I'm trying to show something for my 400+ bucks.

[br]

***another read confirmation***

He has read the messages, but reffuses to reply.

I have even left him negative trader feedback in hopes of spurring some sort of reply... and still nothing.

If you don't have them...

Where is the tracking number???
*copy and paste the tracking info here for everyone to see*

I invite any admin to verify that these pm's are in my inbox, as well as my sent items.

I have a nice, full color, 6 page copy and paste of these pm's for anyone interested as well.

He's feedback show that he's also scammed out Wnts2Go10O.

My g/f asked lastnight... if his account is restricted..

How can he reply to pm's that have been sent?
Maybe he's trying to send a pm with an explanation...?

Then I asked myself... can he still reply to the rest of these threads?
Maybe he's been trying to post it here?

But then I thought, if that's the case... why would you sell the springs from my purchase to another user here? (see the other posts in feedback regarding bum deals)

I also gave him my email address, phone number and he has my paypal account to be able to reply to, and/or refund the money.

Yet still nothing.

If you are reading this Dan, you need to email me pronto like:
frisky13@hotmail.com

And you should email the 2 others here really damn fast

Sounds like he was ripping you off from the get go. Cause he sure didn't use the extra money to overnight it to you.

I've never purchaces anything like this before, so I had no idea what the cost on shipping should be.
I thought 40 should be a good start.

Dear kelly shaw,

Thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize for the delay in
responding to your service request.

Even though disputes opened past the 45 day timeframe will not
be addressed, we encourage a dispute to be filed. The dispute will
be documented in the record of the PayPal member whom the claim is
against. In review of your account, we show that you did file a dispute and
that PayPal has notified the Seller of this dispute. However, this
transaction dispute will not be opened because it was filed 45 or more days from the date of the payment.
What a piece of work you are Dan...

You **** me around with the "I'll have to look for it" when I asked for the tracking number several times.
Convenently just long enough to slip through PayPal's loop hole.

Yet you had the ***** to call a two days after I agreed to buy the cam/springs from you saying the money didn't get sent through PayPal yet?

Still nothing.

I'm going to Vega in Febuary...

Do I have to make a quick flight over to Texas to help you find that tracking number Dan?

Or do I start asking for someone to take over your debt and you can deal with someone else with less patients and much better motivational skills?
MODERATOR EDIT: If you can get a credit collection agency to file a claim against the seller they most likely will get it settled. That was what you were referring to, right?

You have my email, my paypal account, my phone number AND my address.

I suggest you use one of them to contact me.

Paypal offers protection if you dont receive anything in the mail. The dont protect you if you receive it but it isnt what you wanted. File with them.

MODERATOR EDIT: Paypal only offers to try to get money back if there is any in sellers account. They offer no "protection" against bad sellers per se.

Paypal doesn't protect you past 45days of the payment being made...
After a few questions, watching a video of his car at idle and such, I sent payment. He said he's send it right away.. then he said that he hadn't gotten to getting to the post office for a quote.. then he said shipping would be much more than we expected so I paid the difference on top of that.
Then he said he was doing this all durring his lunch breaks and the people at the shipping co were giving him a hastle on the customs papers.. then he filled the wrong one out...
blah
blah
blah

One excuse after another...

I asked time and time again for tracking info after he said it was on the way and should have been here in a week.

I have recieved NOTHING from him.
He stopped responding to PM's and emails.

He has made no attempt what-so-ever to contact and explain what's going on.

He jerked me around past 45 days and then went out and bought AutomagicLS1's converter with my money and asked another member for info on a car for sale!

Default 150us Reward!!

150US reward to be person who can get my 480 canadain from Daniel Short AKA 98slowt/a.

This has gone on wayyy beyond reason.

I can't take legal action against you because I'm not located in the US.

I can't get a PayPal refund because this is WAY past 45 days.

I'm several thousand miles away, or I'd have hunder your *** down.

You have my phone number, email, pm info and PayPal account info and you havn't once contacted me.

You claim that you shipped the cam and spring, but after 3 months I have nothing and you're still looking for the tracking number...

BUT.. Here's what Gearhead posting in any case:

Has he been banned yet? I know he has scamed a few people and not fixed things.

If I remember he tried selling a tranny on here a few weeks back but someone that he scamed posted about him in the thread and its not longer there. Almost positive it was him. Like 99.99999999999% sure.

-How bout the mods just take the For sale section OFF of LS1 tech and leave that stuff to E-bay- Continously hearing about people being scammed is really getting old.
