1998 Trans AM, 68000 miles, A4 new ring and pin 3.23, just free mods...

Not interested in nos... looking to see some different head/cam/intake/ throttle body/etc. setups and what hp #'s your pulling. I know there are millions of different setups out there but i figured if your running it you can tell me how it works so i dont waste my money and time. I dont care about a rough idle or any of that as long as its managable in my little 10,000 pop town.

Looking for around 400hp...not sure if i need new injectors/intake/heads or just a cam/rods/springs/LT headers/tune.

Looking to do it cheap but dont want to take away reliability....heard i can make those numbers with just a cam/rods/springs/tune but is it safe?

$1200 possible or am i crazy? LMAO cuz i got $1200 saved and i could order right away! but i can keep savin if i need to.

So lets hear what your running and some suggestions/tips.

2000 z28 Camaro a4 MTI mass air censor MTI airbox lid+k&n filter.

Bose 4 prong uranium core sparks chnged every 5000 miles.

59,XXX miles oil changed only with moble 1 extended perfomance same with the filter every 2500 miles. As well as flushed.

Every other gas tank gets octane booster and fuel injector cleaner. Air filter cleaned once a month.

Intake manifold cleaned every 3000 miles. (to big of a bitch to get on and off)

Slick transmission aditive added slight every month.

Freon changed in the AC every 2 months.

Radiator flush and fresh coolent refil every 5000 miles/3 months whichevers 1st.

Windshield washer stays full due to how cheap it is.

Break pads changed every 5000 miles along with rotors.(until i get drilled rotors)

rotate tires every 3000 miles.

all new tires every 15,000 miles (i hate baldish tires)

Im very **** about maitnence can ya tell?

Mods in sig...

hp ratings? don't know.

should be just about 400 at the wheel, I need to get it on the dyno to know.

as for speed.....it's quick enough to get the job done. should be a little quicker when I get the 125 shot on there this winter.

You have alot of time dont you! LOL, between my two jobs i work 15-16hrs a day monday-friday 8-12hrs saturday and off every other sunday (8-10hrs).... I couldn't dream of having that much time....i have sh*t paying jobs though $11.42/hr and $10/hr. Between my girl, kid, and the toys i want, i need two jobs.

But it is nice to see you actually care about your! Most people around here treat their cars like sh*t. I just drive the TA when its nice on weekends. Which wont be much at all for the next few months (Stupid winter anyway! ).

Yea i dont work much anymore due to the fact im in the wounded soldier program. Back when i was a team leader in an Infantry unit it was hard to squeeze time in to work on my car and maitnence it properly.

Funds are hard to come by and if it breaks down i do got a spare vehicle which is a 93 silverado 1500 with a 350 and th350 trans.But i only bring in about 1200 a month due to bills and what not. Also smoes for a month are about 120 then food gas and what not.

But here in a few months im getting a sevrence pay honorable discharge and selling my leave back to the army so i should have about 14,000 so i can get a bike (Kawasaki 650r) for a DD and let the Camaro rest more often after i do a few mods.

Im looking at X-flow exshust with 1 3/4 pacesetter headers.

A direct port 75-100 shot from NOS with safty shut off and LCD monitor/programer.

A nitrious cam upgrade. and a fast 92 mm intake manifold 90mm throttle body and im done for a while.

Bike and all mods should total out to about 8,000 tops pending on if i can still get the bike for 4000 used.

The rest of the cash goes half and half into my retirement fund and emergency fund.

Also try security. Some security jobs pay 15-20/hr pendig on your qualifcations. Theres a 3 day class you have to take for it.

As for me like i said i was an Infantryman in iraq with a Stryker unit. I already got a job lined up for me when i get out hes not telling me how much/hr im getting though i told him i wont accept lower then 20/hr. 4 days a week 12 hrs a day cant beat that.

Sounds like a plan! But i would try to find a GSXR-1000 great bike (my buddy has one that i always ride) alot of fun and plenty of power. Keep me updated on your car man! Good luck!

650R is a good learner bike.

I learned to drive in my Camaro i have alot fo good memorys in it. Ive had sex in it, slept in it, lived in it for a few days, learned to drive with it, gotten laid becouse its a badass car. hehe countless memorys i just want it to last.

Also hopfully mid december-early Jan i should be out of the army and have the money to buy my mods i want.

And take it easy man you dont really want to over work your self to much.

The best things in life are relaxsation and meditation. Try it some time and just mellow out from the world.

383 Full forged rotating asy. Worked 241's, MTI-R1 cam, full bolt ons, plus misc chassis/drivtrain.
made like 432/429 or something like that through a 12 bolt.

SLP lid, pacesetter headers w/ true duals, 25% underdrive pulley, TSP 2.5 5.3 heads, TR224 112 LSA cam made 377 rwhp through an unlocked 3600 stall. Ran 11.8s all day long with 1.65 sixtys on the stock 10 bolt and nittos.
