Red face 00 or 01 LS1?

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and new to the LS1's. I'm looking to get my first LS1 and I have found a bone stock (with an exception of mufflers) 00 and 01 with the 00 having 75K miles and 01 having 39K miles. My main question is the slight differences between the two. Why are the 01-02 more preferred choice?

They have the LS-6 intake and a few other upgrades from the 98-00's.

Better rod bolts and LS6 IM. Some 01-02's got the LS6 block too but still had 241 head castings so they are still considered an LS1. I have heard some late 00's got the upgraded rod bolts but not 100% sure.

Get the 01. If you plan on doing Heads/cam/intake then go for the older one.

get the 01 you said its bone stock and only 39k miles thats a great find and also its nice to have all the ls6 stuff already i know alot of people who have 00 and before spend money to get the ls6 manifold and stuff like that so its nice to have it already even though 01 and 02 have a smaller cam it doesnt really matter both cams are pretty small anyway and you will probably get a bigge rand better one anyway
