I have a 1998 Trans Am LS1. As soon as you start the car it idles at 1500 rpm the goes up to 3000 rpm and stays there I don't know whats wrong. Please help.

Vaccum leak. Check all the rubber lines, front to back.

You must've missed one still. It doesn't hurt to check it again for small holes and disconnected lines.

Reason why I'm saying this because when I did my LS6 intake swap, we left a line open and it did EXACTLY the same as you stated at the first post. It idled 1500 then it shoot up to 3K rpms. We couldn't figure out where was the leak until we look down at the throttle body, one of the line wasn't connected.

At first it idled right at 3000 rpm, when I fixed the vaccum leak then it idled at 1500 rpm and then goes straight up to 3000 rpm.
