make sure to throw a little lubricant on the throttle shaft after cleaning.

i cleaned a TB years ago with some carb cleaner and ended up with a very stiff throttle. the spring wasn't strong enough to close the blades, so the throttle would stay OPEN even when you take your foot off the pedal.

couple dabs of oil on the TB axle and it solved it.

i guess the carb cleaner rinsed the lubricant off.

just a word of caution....could have been a very isolated incident.

they have an aresol seafoam deep creep that you can hose the inside off and also shoot it inside your intake then let the motor suck it all up. search seafoam.
