Default Safe to run my car??????

I took out the AIR pump the other day and i am STILL waiting on these damn block of plates to come in. It wont hurt the car to drive it without the plates will it????? The only thing its hurt so far is my ears cause it sounds like

you can cut the ends off the tubes and put a thin piece of metal in between and it'll get you buy

thats what i would recommend to. i wouldnt run the car with those holes open.

Get some sheet metal, trace the piece that you took off, drill holes for the screws and shape it as best as you can with a bench grinder or dremel.

I wouldn't advise it. I orderd emissions headers, and then when got them decided to !EGR and !AIR so i tap drilled screws into each, and are still there... they've held up so far. Or you can do what the others have said but i wouldn't drive with nothing on there, or just put the air pump back on for a couple of days until you get the plates

Heres how I did mine. I had the manifolds off though, wouldn't do it with them on.
I just ran a coarse 5/8 tap into the holes, tightened down a 96 cent bolt, cut it off with a 4 1/2" grinder and cutoff wheel (dremels are for pussies), used the rest of the bolt for the other side.


I know you're not going to do it this way. If you still have the tubes put them back on with a penny covering the hole.
