I was looking at those but when i listened to em on ls1sounds.com with the stock setup they sounded real raspy but I have heard good things about em, maybe its just the camera they recorded em with, i dunno. I also have a question about cutouts. Do they dish out more hp then the catbacks do? I remember reading that somewhere and if i went the cutout route would i need 1 or 2 with a stock setup?

Adding tips will not change the sound of your exhaust man. As for the catback I think what your looking for is a magnaflow, I recently switched to one and it sounds killer. Its got that deep rumble tone to it without that annoying rasp... see thats my problem with the borla, corsa, hooker, loudmouth, etc. theyre all great systems but theyre way too raspy for my taste, especially once you add headers/ory. Get the magnaflow, youll love it and it will still sound great and not raspy if you add headers/ory.
As for a cutout, they sound great but your not going to want to drive around all the time with an open cutout, it can get old real fast, trust me. If you do want get a cutout, do it after you add a catback at the very least. Youll probably gain some top end but on stock manifolds I really doubt youll see more than a few hp.

Go true duals for deep and no rasp. I was originally going to buy a GMMG catback, but then I realized I could do long tubes and the TSP TD's for the same price, lol. So I went with that.
I like the sound of chambered mufflers myself. Like GMMG, Sweet Thunders, or Power sticks. If I was doing a y pipe setup though, it'd probably be a custom catback with a chambered muffler installed.
Or Magnaflow. Those seem to flow really well for being so quiet.
