Default SLP loudmouth exhausts

Could someone tell me if SLP loudmouth exhausts are quality and with what longtube headers ? Naturally money is a major issue and was wondering peoples opinions on this and how much they think this would cost...(on an ALL stock 2001 Z28 TT M6 Camaro)

Most don't like the so called, Rasp and Drone sound that is found in the slp loudmouth. Then you will hear it is worst with headers. I have had the loudmouth 1 since right after I bought the hawk in 05. I loved the sound of the loudmouth. I just installed the ARHeaders with their catted Y hooked into the loudmouth 1. I have no rasp and I am one who likes sound As far as the money, the loudmouth is priced good, the ARH are stainless and the fit is excellant and they are not cheap. Your prices of the loudmouth can be found at alot of the sponsors. The header price depends on what you are looking for, such as stainless or not.

by priced good to mean expensive or about average....i dont have deep pockets so im fine with an average system with an average system....comparatively speaking...what about the stainless steel headers is there any advantage to stainless steal besides the lack of rust and the shine?

Loudmouth will run you about $400 give or take a few. Which is good being that it stainless steel you wont find very many stainless catbacks cheaper than that. Or look into the TSP Rumbler which is the same except you get a dynomax bullet instead of slp's resonator and its not stainless. You can get it without tips for $290 shipped it sounds good and fits perfect. When I get headers Im doing Lpp's there stainless and cost about $600 with an ORY I've only heard good things about them. So expect to pay around a grand probably more with new gaskets and all the other header stuff. And you'll probably want to run cats with either one of those catbacks.

yeah it sounds good, go to LS1sounds.com, they have sound clips there of cars with different header and exhaust setups. i had the LM1 on my car when i bought it, sounded great, then i added LPP's with a ORY a few days ago, and its pretty loud now, turns heads, sounds more like a machine and a healthy car. check out that site.

as for quality-great, SS is awesome. also pretty reasonable on price.

I started out with the stock y-pipe and cats and added the SLP LM1. It had a great sound. Then.....I added a set of PaceSetter Long Tube Headers without cats. It is VERY LOUD and raspy. To be honest I can't talk on the phone while driving because I can't hear the other person(even with bluetooth). I can barely hear the person talking in the passenger seat. lol.
But......when I get on it. OMG. It's on. Then I like it.

I'm not a fan of the sound of Loudmouths, but that's all personal preference. Like zacht said, I'd recommend you check out ls1sounds.com.

i love my loudmouth 1 with my headers and ory it's really loud but it does sound really good and i dont really notice any drone or rasp in it. i did my full exhaust for about $670 bucks. i bought my cat-back used off ebay for like $200 and my pacesetters i got off ebay along with the y pipe. look on here in the classified ads and find it used for $150.

From the little I have heard my car since I put it on, I am not a fan of the LM at the 2k rpm range. But when you step in on it....holy ****. Its nice. I'm gonna wait for the H/C and tune before I change anything out. If I don't like it still, borlamouth is gonna be next.

I installed LM2 last night.(ok my brother did most of the work) After tons of adjusting it fit pretty good. No rattles and tips are nicely centered out the back. For being almost straight pipes with the small resonator it really isn't that loud with factory cats/exhaust manifolds. I was really hoping for it to be louder, but I guess I'll just wait til headers and ORY get put on. It has a great sound, no rasp and no drone.

You can find used LM from 200+ on here. I'm taking mine off sometime soon to sell but idk when for sure.

I'm on manifolds and I like the sound. Kinda quiet.

I have a LMII and I really like the sound. I am so used to it, I kinda wish it was louder. Pretty sure once I do headers I will want something different though.
