Mail order tune question?
Who does the best mail order tune's in your guys opinion? I am looking at getting one, I am thinking of going with Texas Speed since thats who I bought all my stuff through. Just wanted to know who has done a mail order tune the results and who do you think does the best job? My mods include tsp stage 2.5 5.3 heads, tsp tr3 cam, tpis 90mm ls6 intake, 90mm jantzer throttle body, 42 pound injectors, ls7 lifters, pacesetter headers, ORY, loudmouth catback, 85mm mass air and fast toys lid and 3200-3600 stall.

texas speed has done two mail tunes on my car and did a great job for being a mail tune. Only thing that sucks is shipping out the pcm and waiting for it to get back. I would recommend taking it to a tuner if you can, otherwise if one is not close around then texas speeds mail tune wont let you down im sure.

That's a little much for a mail order. If you get lucky it will be close at best, more than likely it will be safe and be leaving some power on the table.
I always recommend tuning yourself, but if that's just not an option try to find a good tuner in your area. If you have to drive a hundred miles for a good one, so be it. It will be more than worth it in the end.

100 miles is nothing. Making the trip to get the tune is well worth it. I'm not sure where you are located but I'm from Kansas and I first made a trip to Speed Inc in Illinois for a dyno-tune and then a year later made the trip down to Texas Speed to get the current tune. Get a mail-in and drive it somewhere to finish up the tweaking, it's more than worth it!
