Ok I'm installing magic stick3 110lsa cam in my 02 ws6. I want to know how much hp I will loose going with shortys over long tubes. I'm going with shortys because of ground clearance, and its a big issue because at my work I have to go over killer speed bumps and my exhaust already sounds like its ripping off when I go over them.

Go with the right long tube and ground clearence will not be an issue. If I remeber correctly SLP's hang down very far. I have Jet-Hot long tubes which are hooker headers with the 02 bung moved and they are nowhere near the lowest part of the car. Some headers tuck up better than others, but that probrably means you will have a slip on design and not a flange design. Band clamp vs bolted flange with gasket.

my jet hots (same as hooker) dont cause me problems with low ground clearance. my SLP safety loop and my aluminum trans pan hang down lower than my headers. if you decide to go with shorties check out random tech cats and Y pipe to help flow. ps your stock cats are worth money (platinum) so dont throw away!

stock manifolds on the 01/02 engines were damn near shorty design to begin with. you won't gain much.
with the added hp of the cam, i can see you gaining 10hp from the shorties....but going from stock to LTs with a cam you could easily see 25-35hp.
some of that is from the removal of the cats and stock ypipe.

Ya, I just had a buddy install a pair on his 2000 WS6 and ya we had to undo the driver side motor mount and some other stuff. I was amazed how high the car needed to be jacked up, since my buddy does not a a actual lift. IDK really I might get the Hookers and have a shop install them for me.
