Default Pacesetter ?

I have an opportunity to pick up a brand new set of uncoated pacesetter LT's for 200$, my question is should I pick them up and send them to jet hot and get their coating put on them? And if so how much would that run me? Ive been researching headers now for awhile and its time for me to pizk a set up. Thanks for any input...

you're fucked. I have pacesetter LT's, and it's been 8-10 months and they are almost rusting through right before the collectors already... My tuner said I have maybe another 6-12 months before it develops small holes. I should have gotten some kooks or something nice...wish someone had told me this before i spend $300 on these shitty headers.

Ya that would be great, I have a 98 TA and im looking for a nice set of long tubes, I need them to be coated or I will have to send them out to get it done, I really dont have a brand preference it is my DD but I will do the maintanence on them like wiping off the dorosion and such. And I will need a Y-Pipe as well. Im just lookin for the best bang for my buck and pacesetters or hookers seemed to be a good choice. If you could find me something like that, that would be awesome. I have been looking and it seemsthe going rate for new PS are about 370.00 roughly

Man, i was in your shoes not too long ago.
I bought a set of uncoated P/S LTs from a forum member. They are not rusted, and I still haven't installed them yet, but I'll be spraying them with a full can of FluidFilm before I install them (since they're not coated and I live in the Northeast), and I'll see how that holds as the months pass by.

My car is not my daily... and my PS headers that were coated are all shitty by the collecters.

Is it that the PS coating isn't that good? So I should buy some that are uncoated and send them to an outside coater to have it done right? I just don't know how much that would run me. I don't want to slap some junk on my car thats gonna rust out in a year, but on the other hand I can't justify dropping 800-1000$ on headers. So any info you experienced guys can give me is good info.

I have around 70,000 on my pacesetters and they have not given me any problems....paid 300 used for a set of coated ones....they were in perfect condition then and are still great today.

best bang for the buck...hands down.
