Unhappy Asp Pulley Problems!

Hey guys,

HELP! ack, I installed my ASP underdrive pulley on my car about 2 weeks ago, (01 A4) everything runs great, no noises from belts..etc

but it seems that my car is leaking oil from where i installed the pulley, its comming through the seal it seems.. its not a TON, just drips here and there..

ive leaked out about 1/4 quart in the last 2 weeks

does anyone know a fix for this?
is the pulley defective?
seal broken?

Please help,
Thanks

could be a worn/broken crank seal. i assume all you did was take the stock pulley off and install the new one right. you didnt take the timing cover off or anything? if you did take off you should of replaced the seal.

You really should replace it anytime you remove the pulley. especially if it has been on a while. Its part number is 12561244.

BTW the threads for removing the ASP are SAE not metric..... something like 5/16 24 but i am not possitive on that other than they are not metric.
