Default Triangle Pillar cover

Does anybody know what they call the black triangle cover that goes behind window? Mine came off going down the interstate and I can't seem to find the name or part number on GM parts direct. Thanks in advance.

might be still called the sail, or part of the sail. Sorry, just a guess.

Looks like it is part of the sail according to this schematic. Unless it sits on top of that portion of the sail. Sorry I can't help more.

The part number should be on the part itself. Check the back of that triangle piece.

That's kinda what I thought, but I was just glad someone was trying to help. I found out today that GM discontinued the part and the only way to get it is to order the top frame assembly which is 600.00 bucks...

ok. i can't keep this up any longer.

try "applique panel" under quarter panel - exterior trim.
part numbers:
right side is 10240164
left side is 10240165

they sell for under $10 each (depending on which side for some reason).

$600.. lol... i'd call back the dealership and give the parts guy an earful, but you never know when you'll be back in there, face-to-face, when you need a replacement bolt in a hurry.

I think he meant $600 for the entire roof sail and two small applique panels.
Good info there.

Thanks for the info and yes it's hard to find a good parts man anymore. The 600 bucks was for the whole frame assmebly, which he said was the only way to get the pieces. But, I did find some made out of cabron fiber that are supposed to be direct replacments, I guess we'll see about that in a few days. I'll add some pictures when I get them installed...
