A stall would be the best mod if you really can get one from TSP for $480.

Save a little more money and get a TCI SSF 3500 w/ tranny cooler. You have already started out good with the lid/catback and tires. The converter will net you up to .7 of a second off your et. This is hands down the best mod for an A4 and it increases the "fun to drive" categorty. Good Luck

onebadz and BP00RedZ have the right idea. TC should definitely be your next mod.

You can give it to me as an Early Christmas present . Look around the boards and you might be able to pick up a used converter. There is a TCS 4200 over on EFA for sale you could pick up.

shops usually wants $300-350 to install longtubes...then there's the O2 sims ($80?) and O2 extension ($?) that you'll need. from what i've read, LTs seems to make the car run too rich w/o tuning and not gain that full 20hp or so....so that's like $350 for LS1 Edit signup + about $100/hr dyno tuning....but then you'll save $80 'cause now you don't need the O2 sims with Edit.

Yes TCS is no longer in business, but they did make a pretty good converter. The one I mentioned that was for sale only has a couple thousand miles on it and is up for sale because the owner switch over to a th400.

I also agree, the converter is the way to go for the best bang for the buck on an auto, I am picking up a TCI SSF 3500 from TSP for $480 and I called TSP and they said they will give me the stall, their biggest tranny cooler, transgo shift kit all shipped to my door for $660. That is an excellent price

Are midlength headers as good as long tube or what is the difference between the two? Im getting headers and y-pipe in spring and am lookin around now to see what the best bang for the buck is. Pacesetter on texas speed has long tubes and a y-pipe for around 500 shipped, but ls1speed is like 15 mins away from me, so tryin to decide on which is worth it. I've read the pacesetters though had fitment issues, don't know about the macs.

1. get a torque converter OR
2. get some pacesetter headers OR
3. go to the strip club and help put those young beautiful girls through college

Why not spend a little more and get a converter and headers.
