Default Does my tb blade look ok after bumpstop mod?

Here are pics of my tb blade after I did the bumpstop mod. Pics are not the best. Cheap camera. I'm not sure if this is ok or if I went to far with the mod.

as long as it's 90* flat and not over that you're fine, looks good to me

I used my volt meter. It reads 4.40.
But the blade looks very close to a 90.

Wow I never realized exactly how much space the egr takes up in the airway. That should be your next mod after the TB.

I know. It's right in the way. I'll take care of that when I get a LS6 intake. That should be this winter.

Blade looks to be 90 degrees.

You should have someone put the pedal to the floor while you look again - simple check that everything is working together. You would not believe the number of old carb cars where throttle does not open all the way.

Looks fine. Shouldn't be a problem. Just drive it. If its 90+ it will throw a code and you'll know to add some epoxy to the bump-stop and start again.

I put a small level on the blade. It seems as if the front of the blade is down a bit! So I know it's not a 90. Just a bit under. I'd say it's at a 85. I'll take the car for a spin in a bit.

4.40 Is a little low hell I think mine was at 4.35 to start. 4.70 sets the code I went to 4.68

That's the funny part. Mine reads 4.40.
If you look at the tb blade, it's very close to a 90.
If I do any more, it'll be over 90.
You have a pic of your tb blade wide open?

i noticed that too... at first i was like WTF the throttle plate is on backwards!!... but then i remembered there was a piece on the front that was cut off lol... did you port it yourself??... if you sent it out to a known tb porter they should have cut it for you and installed shorter screws

I sent my tb to Silver ghost to be ported. Put it back on and now I have all kinds of issues. The car studders on the top end. When I go wot, it just breaks up. Like a misfire but no ses light. I had autozone scan it. No codes.

did it act that way before you attemped to do the bumpstop mod yourself?... what about before the tb was ported?... i find it odd he didn't do that since basically everyone that ports tb's does this as part of the process... i wonder if there's anything else he didn't do... try swapping a known good stock tb back on and see how your car acts... use your sensors also, that way it will be narrowed down to the tb housing if everything goes well and maybe you can contact him and see if he can do anything for you... if it still acts up after that then use the known good sensors and tb housing and see what happens... just process of elimination haha

My car ran great before I sent my tb off. This all started after I put the tb back on. I'm buying a stock tb from a member on here. Hope it runs well after that. Guess we'll see. I went through everything on the car. Plugs, wires, new o2's. Checked for vacume leaks. All is good. So I really think it's all in the tb.

sounds like an iac issue to me. if the porting was to break the seal of the blade it would idle high, not low. i'd pull the iac and check it out before i switched tb's
