Do you warm your car up before you drive?

When the engine is cold do you warm it up and then drive it? Is there any problems when doing this? I used to warm it up for about 5 mins then drive, but now I start it and drive it. I shift at 1500 rpms and wait until it gets to normal operating temps before I smash on it.

Only if it is well below operating temps. If it sits out all night I let it warm up, or if its really really cold and sits for around 3-4 hours.
I let my dogs out in the morning and as I go out I start it.. By the time I am done they are done with their business (they know to hurry when I start the car) and I bring them back in and then leave. Warm up is anywhere from 3-8 minutes depending on what I do when I come back in.

So long as you take it real easy until it's at operating temp you can start it and go. Operating temp is NOT when the temp guage reads 210 (or whatever your happens to read). It takes a good 10 mins of run time for the entire motor and it's parts to reach operating temp. An automatic transmission takes even longer usually a good 10 mins more than the motor.

I let it warm up for a few minutes on really cold days, then drive very slowly (shifting at low RPM's like some others have said) until it is completely warmed up. If the car isn't completely cold, or it is warm outside, I let it sit for a minute tops.

In the summer/ normal temps I give it ~30 sec minimum if not more. I'm lucky in that the first few miles from my house are mostly down hill, and no stops. I drive really slow down the driveway and the road a little bit so the wheel bearings warm up a tiny bit, diff and trans oil has a chance to hit critical parts before they get spinning really fast, stuff like that. Yea, I'm a little **** about that stuff and it might not make any difference at all, but im not gonna stop lol.
I slowly get the car up to speed and throw it in neutral for the 1 mile of downhills, so that's part of the warm up too I guess.
