Default Engine swap

I'm thinking of buying a 1999 Camaro LS1 motor ( which has been built substantially) from a friend. I own a 2001 Formula. My question is ..... will this motor plug in to all my electronics and components ( computer, fuel etc,) or will I have some modifying to do to make this swap work ? Thanks.

As far as my knowledge goes a 99+ LS1 All the sensors should plug right in.

Will work just fine. They're the exact same engine. The only thing you will need to change is the tune on the pcm.

yup definetly a tune will be in order but it should be a strait bolt in, if you have a manual consider a aftermarket clutch if you dont have one. If this new engine has alot of power then your stock one will slip under launches.

If anything is different it will be the fuel lines, If I am not mistakin early LS1s had two fuel lines, and later had 1, if you run into this problem you can swap fuel rails from your old engine to the new one and will solve the problem

If his car was already tuned get his PCM and have his tuned saved then downloaded onto your PCM.

It's a 4L6E trans and along with the engine swap I'll be swapping the stock converter with an SS4000. Thanks again for all the help.

Also make sure you are not maxing out fuel injectors if that motor is really high HP..
