Default Loudmouth I vs Loudmouth II

Just bought an SS that has the SLP center mount exhaust on it from the factory... I was able to gather that this CME setup DID NOT include a bullet style muffler, but a regular oval style. Now, my car has an SLP bullet muffler underneath, which the previous owner must have put on.

My question is: how can I tell if this bullet muffler is an Loudmouth I or Loudmouth II style?

Thanks!

The loudmouth 1 didn't actually come with a bullet muffler, just a hollow resonator. My LM1 resonator doesn't look like my friends LM2 muffler, so it shouldn't be hard to distinguish. Mine might be different since it was purchased a while back, but i don't think mine has SLP on it while the LM2 does. Hope this helps.

Loudmouth I came with a straight pipe as in anyone with that system is basically driving around without a muffler? Here's what I've got underneath the car...

You will have to take the bullet muffler out and if it has no kinda foam or rubber in it, it's a Loudmouth I(straight through pipe). If it does have anything those as stated above then it's a Loudmouth 2.

Look inside of it if, if it has nothing in it then it's a LM1. If it has rubber or foam looking stuff inside it then it's a LM2. The old SLP style you couldn't replace it, it was one straight pipe on the LM 1 and LM2 but you can look inside of it or feel inside of it and you can tell.

Yeah if you have the LM1 it's essentially a straight pipe. The first pic is the inside of the LM1 shotgun resonator and the second is the Bullet Muffler.

That's the exact route I'm going. Can't wait til Spring to get the XR1 muffler on.

I sold my Magnaflow CB to my brothers roommate then bought a LM2 system with the money since I'd be running it for a couple of months and didn't want it raspy as hell...well that's still the case around 2,200-3,200 under medium acceleration, so I got the Borla XR1 for christmas and can't wait to get it on. Hoping it takes away most of the rasp.

I'll have to check out your borlamouth when you get it done, because I'm getting tired of my LT's, ORY, LM1 setup. I'm still up in the air on which bullet style muffler to switch to right now.
