Default Too much Power?

I'm building a daily driver and I want it to be somewhat reliable. What causes really fast cars to be a hassle. I mean, we all know there's no such thing as too much power. I mean, over-stroking, too high of compression, what usually breaks first?

More power nets you more strain on parts. The more strain on parts leads to more failures. It's just a part of having a fast car...

The rear end usually breaks first.

Not supporting the power you have. If you make600hp at the crank and have a bone stock auto trans and 10 bolt rear something will give.

Having a high power car that is reliable depends ont he supporting mods and TUNE.

fast, cheap, reliable....................< pick two( i think those are the 3 lol)

i think some of these stock LS1's all ready come with good enough power, my ls1 went through two tranny's and one rear with just lid, LT's, & tune. so more power that is not supported right is inevitably going to break fast

So that puts me in an odd situation. I have a Porsche that I'm throwing the LS1 into. The rear is a lot weaker than a 10 bolt rear. On the other hand, I'm not drag racing this car, I want it to be a track car. Does that change things?

That makes it even less likely that cheap will be one of your options.
