Default Finally, i bought ls1

Didn't want to spend a whole lot of money so I bought this 2002 droptop
Z28 with 126,000 miles for 6000. Ok deal or what. Pretty clean to say the
Least. Tried to post pic but it said disabled. But how did the deal sound?

sounds like a good deal, you have to upload the picture to a photobucket or something and post a IMG code

If dealer I would say good/great deal, but with a private party I would think you could do 5k.

Well, I was all over the net and hell they had prices all over the places(expensive)and this was the most reasonable, fresh paint(fender bender), new goodyear meat,a/c ice cold,no rust, seats not worn down. Overall jus a clean solid car wit a new top. Hell they had v6 going for this price wit 85k miles or so. This car is tight and handles good and that's why I felt it was a decent deal. I thnk we both came out even.

I'm guessing by his username he lives in Chicago. So don't forget the inflated price tag that we pay in the Chicagoland area.

I'm actually surprised he got it that cheap, based on the list of new parts and overall description, plus being a 'vert.

Yeah these cars are expensive for ones in good condition here. i bought an 02 WS6 with 95k for 12 grand out the door. they wanted 15 but talked them down. still worth every penny. but i think if i would have looked even longer i could have found one with lower miles. but mine looked perfect no dings dents scratches or anything. tops didnt leak. windows worked . only thing wrong with it was the tail light has moisture in it and the head light motor is grinding. but i love this car!

Depending on the condition of the car, especially if it was raced. But overall sounds like a decent deal.

I went out to Dallas this past weekend and bought a 98 vert with 139000 on the odometer. New top, seats recovered, no mods, and one owner. I paid $6500. I was like you and checked all over the place. It seemed like a good deal to me.

Yes, they had v6's,lt1's asking a ton of money with decent mileage. Even the third gen was a ton of money.
