Looking at a Camaro SS, the car is an SLP SS with chrome 10 spokes, center exhaust, floor mats, SS grill, Key fobs, leather interior and 6 speed with t-tops. All of that is known and documented. Now for the question, the car is black with silver on the bottom and red pin stripe, goodyear stickers over the front tires, dale earnhardt signature on the edge of t-tops and DEI emblems on the fenders and GM Goodwrench on the quarter panels. All of this looks original. How do I tell if its a DEI edition? I called SLP and they coulodn't tell me anything except that it was ordered from somewhere in Kingsport,PA. Does that mean its not a DEI car?

If its anything special, it should come with documentation.

No, i know its not an intimidator because it has silver on the bottom of the car and not the hood scoop. But all the paint looks to be original and stickers are fading and starting to crack thats why I was wondering if it was original

Yeah, the intimidators were. I talked to a person at the DEI dealership and he said that they sold the DEI rights out to other dealerships to dress certain cars up with their colors. Im just at a deadend, don't know what to believe as to whether it came painted up like this or not.

I really do think its real as all the decals have faded out and stickers of dale's signatures has dried up and started cracking and red pin stripe has started peeling off on edges. But its worthless trying to say its a DEI type car with no documentation. Im going to try to get some pics to post up tomorrow.
