Has anyone done a rear defrost addition to their 99 camaro? Or anything...? Just curious how hard it is to wire.. and cost-wise. In California it's a pain havin no rear view at night (for about 20 mins). Anyhow, all help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again.

You need to buy the glass. The wires are "inside" the glass. I did this on my 81 Malibu. All i had to do was buy the wire to go to the rear window, and a switch w/ timed relay.

I'm actually in the process of doing this right now. I had the rear wing cracked by vandalism and wound up purchasing an SS rear hatch with a defroster in it. I bought a new A/C panel from a member from this site that had the defroster button on it and just put that in. I'm still waiting to install the hatch. The good news is that the wiring is already there. If your car came without any power options, you can put them in at any time because GM automatically puts in a full wiring harness for every car. Let me know if you need some help. Nice name by the way.

If you want your rear window defrosted , leave a piece of cardboard on the window and it will keep the frost off (doesn't apply to snowy regions).
seriously it works, even when it gets wet, just falls apart. might look ghetto but it is ghetto defrost better than waiting 15 minutes for 20 wires to melt off the frost

its an option on any year i thought. friend of mine has a 2002 with no defrost, no power nuttin'. light weight i think is the key here.
its not like the rear defroster works worth a crap.
and in my life of cars, i've never seen a rear defroster bubble a good tint job. Even after 5-6 years of tinting and using the defroster. so this must be an fbody thing if it does happen.

Mine looks the same as it did when it was put on and I use the defroster all the time, for as long as it will stay on
