Codes will pop up after first good drive. I don't know about egr, but you'll notice no ill affects without a.i.r.

You might want to look into that rubbing issue. Maybe get under and see if you can shake things with your hands.

Are you sure it's the I-pipe on the driveshaft, or could it maybe be the Y-pipe on the floor? Maybe it's not, but I guess this comes up a lot and is why many people switch to poly engine mounts (or solid) after LT installs.

Check the y-pipe, that's probably hitting your floor board.

Ok another question, I am getting tuned tues, since install i have metioned above, i have had a few codes (post #4) that im sure can be cleared or bypassed by my tuner, i noticed today a little lack of power and what seems to a miss are these also common symptoms of my install? and other than motor mounts has anyone came up with a way to stop the y-pipe from beating the **** out of the floor pan? thanks again guys

I noticed that my car wasent running right after my header/Y pipe install on my z-28. Part was the shitty header gasket it came with blew right away but the second part was I did not remove my spark plugs when i put my headers in and the header bumping the spark plug made it/them break, after fixing both problems the car ran great! On to your other problem, I know I had the same thing with my y pipe but we loosened it up and wiggled it around and tightened it back up so it wouldnt hit, If it that doesnt work some guys use poly exhaust mounts. Hope it helps, peace

Thanks for info, Was yours race style headers or did you also do egr delete? I ran out of time and didnt change plugs either but my scanner isnt showing any cylinder misfires. I guess i will have to try to do something with the y-pipe thats annoying as ****, thanks again

Take the y-pipe back off and put a dent in it with a hammer where its hitting the floor.

Also, go back after youve driven the car a couple times and go over the header bolts again. And check them periodically.
