What is your fuel mileage on your stock/lightly modded 4th gen F-body?
I've put a few hundred miles on an 02 WS6 that i just bought. I'm just wondering if my milage is on par.
I know there's many different parameters that affect gas milage but i'd like to just get a general idea on what everyone else is getting.
Next time i get gas it'll be the 4th time i fill up since i got the car. The person who had the car before me was running 83 in it for the 25k miles she owned it. I've ran 3 tanks of 93 in it so far and will continue to do so.
I've changed the oil and filter already. Tomorrow i will clean the MAF and change the fuel filter.
This last tank i've driven moderately and went WOT once.
This seems a little low to me. The person i bought it from said she would get about 280 miles out of a full tank.
What are you guys getting out of a full tank?

My nearly stock (just lid and catback) Z28 has been getting shitty gas mileage recently. It's getting on average 15 MPG now. That's with conservative driving, shifting around 2000 RPM, mostly driving in the suburbs with some city driving. Something about the winter season means the gasoline is total ****.
What I've learned from owning this car is that it gets fairly decent highway mileage (mid to upper 20s) but is very thirsty in stop and go. I don't even want to think about city driving with a stall; single digit MPG figures with $4.00+ gas prices...

On 91 pump gas my full bolt-on '01 SS with 3.73's and LT's gets about 245 mpt. That's with the fuel needle well under the "E" on the gauge (i know, I know, "the fuel pump wont stay cool, blah, blah, blah..."). I've gotten as much as 315 out of a tank if it's all highway. My car's also got an A4 with a 2400 converter.

Wow thats awful. I have an 04 GTO M6 with K&N CAI and I have a 16 gallon tank as I suppose all of you do. I get about 290 miles per tank in town I believe and on high way I've got 400 miles or so per tank w/cruise @72mph. And that is on 87 octane. When I have 93oct in my car I usually am planning on thrashing on it, but from what I've observed lol and hard to believe that even under normal driving I get WORSE gas mileage when I run 93oct.

I get worse gas mileage with 93 in my motor - anything under ~10:1 compression isn't really going to benefit from crazy high octane. I'm at 9.6:1 and I think my performance even improved when I went to 87.
And, for some unexplainable reason, my wallet has been getting fatter.

I am getting 400 miles per tank on my corolla, and usually she takes about 12.5 gal to fill up.
my SS on the other hand gets about 250 with all city driving and 280 with maybe 30% highway, but our freeways here in socal are so jammed up, i dont think it matters.
