I'd check your state emission laws before removing your cats. I was debating doing it myself, but see that Texas Speed has a Pacesetter LT/Cated Y pipe combo deal that I'll probably jump on. If I'm not mistaken, you'll have to get your cats "tuned out".

From what I've researched, having cats doesn't hinder performance...and if it keeps you out of trouble....it may be worth the extra money. Just my $.02

I like pacesetter better because the kit uses a 3" Y vs the bbks which is 2.5 I believe.

Same as the TSP Y, right? 3" bolts right up, no?

I have pacesetters and tsp ORY. Basically got my Y pipe for free cause people on here buy your cats for like $80 a cat.. or at least used to lol. **** cats! I would get stainless if you drive it alot in all different weather. If you don't drive in winter (Which you shouldn't be anyways..) then ceramic coated is fine, mine are like 3 years old and look brand new still.

Pacesetters!! Been running em for almost 4 years i wanna say.. no problems at all. Best bang for the buck for sure. Since you are in the market now for some longtube headers, i would look into the TSP 1 7/8 headers. They are priced close to the pacesetters.

Having cats really dont hurt the performance at all but the additional cost is what drivers people away. And if you have LT's it doesn't matter where the cats are because it changes their location. So if you go by the books 100% the catted Y pipes for LT headers are just as illegal as an ORY in most states.

The BBK's are great for ground clearance, better than stock!

The fit/finish is also really good!

I like my bbk headers and y-pipe a lot. Great ground clearance plus they were very easy to install. I have had them for about 4 months and they still look brand new my car is my daily driver to.
