Default True Dual question

Hey guys just had a question about true dualing my 02 ws6. I was curious how much it typically cost (I know it depends on the pipes that are used and the mufflers) but I was curious if they would half to add more o2 sensors and what not please let me know if you have had it done or know. Thanks

Can you have true duals with stock headers?

Well I say for sound and power true dual's are the way to go...and they run more closely to 400-800 with labor for a custom setup...are ya going dumped or over axle? have you thought about cut-outs? just another option to avoid some clearance issues.

I have no idea what dumped, over axle or cut outs are :/ I'm not new with F-bodies but new with LS1's. I'm just looking into doing a GMMG catback, pacesetter lts w/ tsp catted y.

Dumped is it ending before the axle. Over the axle is that in itself, and cutouts are where you can open up the system.

I always bought the $100 Summit kits and went from there. Excluding the Headers it was $250 in parts, another 100 for welding.

Too many variations to consider...

Stainless or Aluminized?
Mandrel?
Before the axle or OVER?
2.5" or 3"?

Could be few hundred to a couple grand...

Bori your setup will be fine to free up horsepower...You don't need true duals as the y-pipe setup does fine for our cars. BUT!! it will free up a few more hp..make sure you have a good merger for the exhaust and that your exhaust is stainless..

^this dumped-is before the pipes get to your rear axle
over axle-self explained...usually follows the line of the stock exhaust pipes over the rear axle out to the rear bumper.
cut out - are pipes welded to your y-pipe or near (for true duals) X or H pipe before the mufflers that has a cap to open up the exhaust and not have it restricted by the mufflers or the extended bends of the pipes (rear exits).

For the tsp true duals, can i have it run all the way back cuz i want to keep my dual/dual tips. Cuz the videos I seen looks like the end of the tips is basically underneath me, which is also cool too but don't want to lose the dual/dual style.

If you go with tsp true duals you can take the car to an exhaust shop and have them weld piping to your mufflers that will probobly have to go under the axel. If you have a good exhaust guy your best bet would be to have them fab you up a custom true dual for your car going over the axle to avoid clearance issues. I have the tsp true duals i installed last weekend and their pretty low, mine are dumped before the rear axle with dynamax bullets. I love the way they sound i havent had any problems with clearance yet as i have not gone over any speed bumps and most of the roads are good in my town. Good luck with what ever route you go with.

Ya the videos I seen where it's dumped before the axle looks like I'll scrape the **** out of it if I went through a speed bump. I live right in the city, so their in almost all the side streets and alleys :/ Speed, Inc. is near me and they perform custom true duals, but too expensive. Think I'm just going to invest in a GMMG catback and later on get the lts and y.

tsp kit is a great kit if installed correctly. also it will not work with stock manifolds.

Personally, unless it's a race car, I find it easier to just get 2 electric cutouts before the Y.
