Rare trans am I just got a 1999 metallic blue trans am I was wanting to know more stuff about the car. It is a ls1 6 speed trans. The title says firebird formula. I read that there was only 100 made of the formulas made in this color. Which makes it even more rare. This car has a bunch of money in it . I need to know how to post photos.

AFAIK, they're all Firebird Formula's....the "Trans Am" package is added on to it. If it has the "Trans Am" lettering on the side, along with the front bumper, hatch, side skirts, rear bumper, and the loaded interior, it's mostly likely a "Trans Am".
What kind of blue is it though? There are two kinds, a "Mad Gulf Blue Metallic" and a "Navy Blue Metallic" in 1999, the Mad Gulf being lighter (almost a sky blue) and more rare.

It was Bright Blue Metallic on the Camaro's and Medium Blue Metallic on the Bird's
Sources say there were 30 Formulas built in that color, but there were 157 WS6 coupe's and 24 Vert's.

I was going off of the Firebird breakdown sheet that listed the colors as such.
BTW, what sheet are you reading off of? For the lighter of the two colors, I see 30 Formulas, 157 Trans Am coupe's, 24 verts, but 0 WS6's made in that color.
In the darker of the two blues, there are about 1574 Trans Am's, and 275 Formula's.
I'm interested to see if the OP's car is indeed a Formula or a Trans Am.

from what ive been told trans ams came loaded with leather, raised spoiler, and think something else. with formula they were sold as sleepers, lower spoilers like v6s and you cold get it with cloth seat and roll up windows.

the cars come in almost any options available that the first owner orders. ive seen trans ams with cloth, and ive seen ttop and hard top ss camaros with cloth and crank windows. so many ppl make formulas into trans am look-a-likes becasue they are a bit more visually appealing but as time has passed who woulda thought fromulas would be worth more sometimes due to rarity lol. esp formula ws.6 cars...the fastest and lightest factory produced fbodys
deffff wana see pics of op's car tho. also was jet stream blue a color in 99? or just a custom color? n e ways, the way i dl pics is the ghetto way cause i suck at life esp when it comes to computers
