Default getting the car side ways

Quick question, my 02 a4 ws6 will burnout, it will light the tires up like crazy from a stoplight and when I turn left she will drift out and scream like no other...but when I turn right and punch it, it takes its time and wont want to break loose and drift out. Does any one have a clue why? Am I the only one who has this problem or just me?

Most likely due to how the posi is locking up.

Yea and it looks like hes got a torsen which makes it more likely this is the case.

If you want to swing out when turning right with a Torsen posi, what I have found works best is go for a slightly more wide turn. If you go for a sharp 90 and hit it, then it will one wheel peel for a minute before it catches (then you will probably have already completed the turn). If you want to swing wide during the turn, don't throw so much weight when you turn. Go easy with the steering wheel, get em spinning and let the car come around. You need room to pull this off obviously.

This. I've got a torsen diff also and if I'm swinging out to the right, take it wide and then lay into the throttle... mine is a 6 speed car though. And like he said MAKE SURE THERE IS A LOT OF ROOM. First time I did this real good I tried to recover and went sideways the other direction... fun but it actually made me a little nervous haha

on my old v6 without posi i was able to get it sideways on left turns but it would barely turn a sharp right thus leading to me wraping it around a pole like an idiot

Yean an open diff on a 6er is not gonna swing out on a right hand turn.
