Trying to step up to around 500whp.
I currently have 1 3/4 headers, thunder racing raptr cam, comp spring, ls1 intake mani.
I know my next step should be intake mani, and heads. But what heads?

Ok well your obviously not going to loose much hp like a auto so that's a start lol I got my heads from west coast cylinder heads and man they are a work of art Richard has a killer porting program and he is a excellent guy !!! I would give him a call and see what he recommends he will def hook you up and do a custom ground cam for your application too. You know you need a intake and I would get a ls6 intake and send it to him to have him port match it to your heads it's a one stop shop there I'm a customer for life !! And finally get a killer tune on that bad boy from someone who knows what our motors want and need 500rwhp is def not a walk in the park to get to with a stock cube LS1 but speed cost money depends on your budget

you're running the same cam as me....look into the AFR heads they are expensive but getting 500whp N/A isnt cheap. My car with the raptr cam and ported 853s and almost full bolt ons minus a ported TB and intake mani made 452/404 uncorrected. May want to think about upgrading the 10 bolt also if you plan to take your car to the track.

There are some good recipes out there to make 475+ rwhp with H/C combo's.
quick names that come to mind
-PatG
-Chrs1313
-98blueSScamaro
*FAST102
*AFR, TFS, or PRC heads ... no first hand experience with WCCH, but hear they do good work
*1 7/8 headers
*custom Y -pipe
*FTP 102 lid
*good tune
you will want to get into a rear diff. before making any more power IMO or you will never safely be able to enjoy the car

Definately gotta get heads and intake. I run the prc 5.3 heads. Coulda made more power woth betyer heads but I had these already. On my old stock block setup with these heads put down 463 rwhp with all the supporting parts. Nitrous is the cheapest power you can get. If you dont respect it though it will be very costly.

You're going to need a properly spec'ed combo and a lot of attention to detail. You better start reading a lot from anyone who has done it. Not going to be very cheap either. You will likely be looking at some massaged AFR heads and a professionally ported Fast for starters.
