Exaust setup! Whatcha think?!?!?!
2000 Ws6 stock with a volant intake and a magnaflow catback. Comin up on 40,000miles. Lookin to beef up the exhaust a bit. Texas speed longtube headers, 2 cutouts after headers, Off road Y-pipe to the magnaflow and a tune... Parts and labor together comes out to $2,000.
Yes? No? Whats your thoughts...

Also all this should not run you $2k. TSP headers $500, y-pipe $130-350 depending on cats or not, $150 tune (i assume basic not dyno), $200 for a e-cutout, and maybe what another $3-500 to install it all?
That $1500 figure posted above is more accurate for a fair price, unless ur doing a full dyno tune.
Also, dont forget plugs/wires and I would also consider doing motor mounts at this time while headers are out... but thats just IMO.

it costed me about that in parts and labor
that extra cash is prolly with a dyno tune im assuming? Def worth it in my opinion
OP might also want to invest in porting your induction items while your at it for a lil more dough
I would look into true duals if u want good flowing exhaust
duals > y
but dual cutouts is a good idea if u want to keep ur y setup, however i would get the turndown accessory .. not necessary but if i were you I would look into it

I have a Volant Air intake as well! I have to say it makes your ss hood 100% functional for 98-02 camaros...When you race someone is sounds like something firece for sure hearing it sucking all the air in...
However I have no idea how they compare in performance with a SLP intake setup..this was on the car when I bought it and doesnt have the original tray so i cant change over to see the difference

The TSP headers come out to about $550 with O2 extensions. Skip the cutouts, or if you feel you really need it, just put one in after the merge. Personally, i'd just grab TSP's true dual setup. you can get that and the headers for about $1050.

sounds like a decent setup, i personally had 2, 3inch cutouts i put right after each header, theres a big diff between both them open there then 1 open after the Y merge, WAY louder and easier to get too if u dont have electric, performance wise i couldn't really tell as my exhaust was pretty much straight through anyway, but if ur doing to be able to run open headers for the sound id do 2 right after the each header

i hand painted it, its not super great really close up but from 5ft away looks fine, just got some red paint in a shade i liked from a hobby store, the little glass bottles, and cleaned it real well, then was lazy cause i forgot a paint brush so i used a paper towel rolled up XD but it came out pretty good imo, then a cop told me to take it off so now its hanging on my wall : \ but thats fine, theres an intercooler there now lol
some one else mentioned to me after words if u get tape and tape off tthe whole thing then go over it with a exacto knife or razor blade and cut the bird part out then u can just spray paint it, might come out cleaner that way, just clear coat the whole thing after words and it gives it a better look

That looks Sick! I took out the two plastic grills on the hood of mine and painted them red along with the two infront of the doors. Definitly wanna do that with mine along with the break calipers. did you do any sanding on yours or just paint it then clear coat?
