Thanks man, and glad you can relate... Same here, I will never sell this ride.

And it keeps rising...

After a couple of months of having the T/A down, i am finally getting the transmission fixed, and goes to the shop on friday.
It will be a built trans with 3800 stall and mounting some nittos 555. I expect the results to be noticible, with a low 12's, high 11's at the quarter.

Hope not to be dissapointed...

Any thoughts welcome!

What a long journey with this car, I can remember it was like yesterday, when it was all wrecked and bone stock.

Now its doing some decent numbers and more awake. To be in the condition it was, to now beating a few ppl that use to smoke me not to long ago.

I wish my dad was still here so he can see the progress i told him i would make in this car.

Either way, I love my dad, happy fathers day and hope you are looking down on your sons.

My ride is a tribute to my dad, I love and miss him Very much.

Happy fathers day! Best man ever....

Default Another one on the mend...

As I stated in an earlier post in this thread, my 99 Firebird Formula was crashed into just over a year ago while my wife and I were participating in 2011 Power Tour.

I've been meaning to get to this for some time now and I finally got a chance to start tearing into it today. Let me tell you, if you think these cars are lacking space to perform routine maintenance on them, try tearing one apart that's smashed to Hell. Wow, what a pain in the @$$! And I haven't even gotten to hard part yet.

But enough lead in, here are a few pics of my progress...

I have a long ways to go, but I think I've gotten off to a pretty good start.

Yea they said I had about a 2 min memory. I had a bruised collar bone, soar ankles, a busted but not broken hand and my knees where bad. Didn't break anything luckily, still don't have feeling in my right knee cap. I'll post up the worst of those this evening. There really not bad I was crazy lucky. And my buddy that was with me in the passenger seat only had a jammed finger

Alcohol, a hill, no traction and a tree. When added all together it equals alot of tears, the loss of my favorite car and almost a divorce. I had a concussion that was so bad I lost 12 hrs of my life a only had a 2 min memory. So it's all word of mouth, I guess I took off came to the top of a hill lost traction and found one of the few trees on my block. They found my center cap about 200 yards up the road and my driver side mirror in side a hole of the tree.

dang!....I know how you feel brotha!

I had the same experience with a few years ago with my 383 IROC some Vodka and rain.
side swiped a car mirror to mirror going in the same direction....got away......down the road about 5 miles destroyed the car, got taken to a house by passer by's....tore up their coffee table, got asked to leave......passed out in a parking lot and made it home the next morning.

taught me a lesson big time!...lol
