Lets see who knows the answer please!!
I recently purchased a 2001 SS Camaro convertible 6speed. My question is why my dash plate does not say camaro ss. The code for SS is on the inside of the door and I called SLP and they told me its a real SS that they have a card for it in their system. I looked on ebay at 2001 SS's and they all had the SS plate as well. What is the stinking deal here! ha
p.s. side question---how many horses am i starting with in this car with a 3 inch flowmaster system from the Y back and it has an FIPK air induction system. Whats next boys?

Oh i made sure it was a real SS before i bought it the other day. No clone for me. I found out there were only 80 red SS convertibles with 6 speed made in 2001. Sounds like something that will be worth a load in 30 years!

All of the '02s say 35th Anniversary (unless they were optioned with the SLP dash plaque), not just the SS.
Every other year just says CAMARO, unless it received the dash plaque option. The Camaro SS plaque was never standard on any year SS from '98-'02.
