It's the IAT sensor. The whole assembly pops out and should pop into the K&N

I was wondering the samething. I was going to order one, one shows a rubber hose on the corner of it and the other one doesn't. Does it matter which one you buy.

If I am understanding this correctly are you just trying to throw in a random cone filter in the car? I would not put that in. The stock lid will be more efficient then removing all that and putting a cone there, and i dont even know if the cone will fit? If you want to mod your intake get a new lid... SLP and many others make one for under $100.

I think you are talking about something different. You are talking about the actual lid. The hose I think you are referring to is the AIR (Air Injection Recirculation) hose. That hose goes from your lid to your AIR pump. Which lid you want depends on if you still have this system or not. Most people remove this system. Search on it here if you want to know more.

the one with the hose is for 01-02 models with air system if you have a 98-00 model or if you deleted your air you want the other one

Just pull those hoses off, its an AIR system pretty worthless.
