Default More Camaro Issues

So I picked up my first Camaro (2000 Camaro SS 6 speed) over the weekend and so far it has been nothing but problems. The second day I owned it the engine light turns on. So I go to autozone just to check the codes and it turns out 02 sensor and the air idler control sensor needs to be changed. $150 later I changed both and the engine light is still on. I will be cruisin down the road and press in the clutch and rpms will jump to over 2000. I can be in 4th gear at like 45mph and let off the gas and it will accelerate slowly. It will not slow down unless I hit the brakes or press the clutch in which case the rpms raise up. I have had the car for 3 days and I just want to get inspected and registered but the car will not work like it should. When I test drove it, it drove amazing and now the guy I bought it from will not return my calls. Im stressing out guys, I do not have the money to throw into this pit. Help me out.

Give all the hoses around the intake a good inspection, might have a vacuum leak, check the PVC hoses as well.

Second I would check to see if the throttle body is closing all the way.

Sounds like maybe a vacuum leak or tb is not closing completely. Easy items to check first.

Throttle position sensor relearn. Does the idle ever come back down after coming to a stop? Or is it always high?

not all codes clear themselves right away. Did you disconnect the battery at all?

Haha, sounds like my car; as soon as I drove it off the lot, bammm check engine light comes on and turns out to be an Air System code and an O2 sensor code. So you know what I did? Put headers on, took the cats out, put an ORY in, and had everything tuned out

Bad AIR check valves will also cause O2 sensor codes.

Keep in mind, however, you'll need to go through a certain number of start-ups before the SES light will stay off after it first senses an emissions code.

As for your high RPM thing when pressing in the clutch... check for a vacuum leak around the PCV valve. The little hose that goes from the valve to the intake manifold (behind TB) cracks. This is what caused the identical symptoms to happen to me.
