Default Chrome or Ceramic Headers

I'm looking into buying a set of BBK longtubes, they come in either chrome or ceramic. The chrome is the cheaper of the two, and I know they are supposed to run hotter and change colors. Would it be better to spend the extra money and get the ceramic coated, will they be better than the chrome? What are your thoughts on BBK?
Thanks,
JC

I would certainly go with ceramic. It will help to keep your under hood temperature down. There is a big difference in the quality of ceramic coating. My first headers, the coating only lasted about a year until it started to flake off.

What about a metallic ceramic coating? Shiny like polished stainless, but its a ceramic coating

You'd rather keep the heat inside at least until it
gets past the O2 sensors. However I have had
Jet-Hot headers and they still cooled the gas more
than the sensors liked. Still chrome throws way
more radiant heat.

I have never used them but try doing a search in the dyno section and see what people have to say.
