Default Found a crack in my SLP Airlid...

It was about 1MM to 1.5MM thick, right at where it mates with the MAF. 80% of the crack was covered by the MAF, but 20% of it wasn't (and this was past the air filter, of course.) I put some weather stripping on the inside (the same kind I used for the AirLid in general around where it hooks by the air fliter) and then wrapped the outside in Gorilla Tape.

Do you think I will be okay? I do NOT need unfiltered air getting in my engine.........

I'd say it's probably fine, but if it were my I would have already ordered a new one.

So you just stuck the weather strip over the crack on the inside? What is holding it so it doesn't get eaten by the engine? (Trying to picture your solution... )

The MAF's screen. The weather stripping around the edges never came off, but I guess that's being pressed against the car (around the air fliter...)

Damnit, you just made me paranoid. I might order a new one when I get paid. lmao

I would think you should be fine as long as it's not leaking air at any point
