Default Headlight motor fix?

I have seen a few articles describing how to fix the headlight motor grinding noise when the plastic teeth wear out by flipping the gear 180 degrees. Problem is they always shows how to fix the LT1 headlight motors. Will this work with LS1 headlight motors?

I don't know if it is the same mechanism, but I do know that houston-f-body.org sells metal replacements for the gear that will supposedly never wear out. I'd be interested to know how well those work.

stock plastic gears work for 2-7 years, per side, so your rotation, will work for a while

I have brass gears, just as a precaution works great.

the metal gears work so well, and the problem is so well known, that i've started seeing dealers and private sellers in texas(both dfw area and central texas) start using that as one of the selling points(in the same boat as power seats, full a/c, premium sound, aftermarket brass headlight gears)....the metal gears work crazy great....need to buy some myself for my just-bought t/a now that i think about it.....

Brass gears are near the top of the page.
Scroll down for the 180* mod.

I just looked up that the brass gears are the same for both LT1 and LS1 cars. That means that the installation and the free fix would be the same too.

i have the b-franker gears, he is a fellow f-car enthusiast, and that is who i would buy them from.

somebody sells them for the fieros' and f-cars, but i would rather get it from the guy with a f-car, who provides lots of webspace, ect to the f-car community.
