Yes, my numbers were same exact setup but unlocked stock conveter. THe stall will rob a few more horsepower at least so you are making enough power to run mid 12's easy if you stick, maybe lower. Gas mileage is not a good argument between street cars when you are trying to find something to hold over hte head of another who has a faster car. Thats a ricer right tehre......sure my highly modified import only runs XX and you run a second (or liely more) quicker but I get better mileage! :, IMO

i was saying i'll be running the same ETs or possible quicker all the while having good daily driver & street manners. thus trying to justify spending the extra money.

hell, i just love the fact that these cars are as advanced as they are. almost 20 mpg in town, and im not real easy on it to get those numbers! I also like the fact that my car has cruise control, good comfort, and a.c. which is all either non-existent or hard to find when it comes to old-school muscle.

My dream car always was a 68 camaro, and Id still really love to have one, but I have to say, if I had to choose between my camaro, and a 68 camaro, Id take mine! (unless its a yenko or a ZL1) then id take old school, but on the other hand, the new-school ZL1's rock!)

I got to test out my new set up last night. I raced this guy in a '01T/A M6 he had equal mods, headers, exhaust, lid, +plus the ls6 intake. from a 35mph roll we went. we were side by side through 2nd when i hit 3rd then i walked on him about a car & half before letting off. i think the duals helped my top end a bunch, hopfuly my tires will come in this week and i can see how much the stall helped me.

im not holding it over someone who has a faster car. he will be lucky if his is as fast as ours stock! he has tried this exact same setup 3 times before-ran low 14s all times, and then blew his crap up. that car is and always will be POS. when comparing equal cars, say my 4th gen runs 12.5s, and your 1st gen runs 12.5s, i think its a good thing to give someone some friendly ribbing about. a/c,cruise, good milage, drivability ect. but this is coming from someone who has no interest in full blown racing. i couldnt care less if so and so has a 9sec drag car. i would be interested ifhe had a 10 sec street car. i like the street car scene and i will honestly never be interested in drag cars.

Street driveablity is a good argument/ricey argument that used to go towards some of the imports, now it does not anymore since the LS1 gets better MPG than all of them, lol. Let us never use it, ever. Even thought it is in our favor.
